Christmas at BC

Our Christmas production, "Get Off My Lawn," is happening LIVE at both campuses! To get all the details on times and locations, click here.

FROM DAY ONE, we have been a movement of people defined by generosity, and in 2018, you upped your generosity in a BIG way. Together, we gave $33,955.00 to the year-end compassion offering! (Boardman: $7,183.00 Warren: $26,772.00). How awesome is that?! One hundred percent of these funds went towards acts of compassion in our city, our region and beyond!

WE CALLED IT THE COMPASSION OFFERING because we looked at the great need in our church family, community and even our nation, and we were compelled by compassion to do something about it. Honestly, it gave us so much joy to be able to see the need around us and have the ability to meet it on the spot!
WHEN HURRICANE DORIAN HIT, we were able to send $5,000.00 to the relief effort - rebuilding homes along the coast in the United States and bringing critical aid to the Bahamas through food, water and medical attention!

WE WERE ABLE TO SEND $3,000.00 TO THE US DISASTER RELEIF FUND, aiding them on the US-Mexican boarder as they provided meals and clothing for those in traditional shelters waiting processing. Most importantly, this enabled them to share the gospel with these precious people! In Panama City, we assisted in repairing and rebuilding homes that were damaged by Hurricane Michael.

WE PARTNERED LOCALLY AND ABROAD with the Basement Outreach Ministries, Brown Horse Projects, Knights for Life Foundation, CTBC, This Means War Against Breast Cancer, Samaritan’s Purse and the Neil Kennedy Recovery Center. We were also able to help in countless ways with acts of compassion in our very own congregations as well!

THIS YEAR – on the weekend of December 7th & 8th, we’re excited for the opportunity to make an even bigger difference through Compassion Offering 2019!

As BC, we have never been big on spontaneous offerings. We like to follow the biblical example shown in 2 Corinthians 9:7:

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

So I’m asking you to pray about what God would have you do above your regular giving of tithes and offerings. It may be a small amount or a large amount. That’s not the point. I’m just asking you to listen to God’s leading. When we give, we look the most like Jesus. God is a giver, and it’s the most rewarding thing to be a part of!

I am constantly blown away by the generosity of this church body, and I can’t wait to see what God does through us in 2020!
