Compassion Offering

This Christmas, your generosity can make a bigger difference than ever! (Learn more here)

Hello!

What an amazing year 2023 has been! From the 40th Birthday Bash, and the countless memories we made in the celebration, to the 41 series, new vision, new mission, even a new look - this has been a year that we won't soon forget!

COMPASSION OFFERING: We are overflowing with vision to take the love and life of Jesus to people in the darkest of situations, and your generosity continues to help us do it! Over the past 4 years, you have made it possible for us to reach our community and beyond with the compassion of Jesus. Through your generous contribution to our 2023 Compassion Fund, we were able to raise (at all BC Campuses) a total of $68,726.00. Wow! This year, we are upping our goal to $130k across all campuses ($100k between Warren + Traditional and $30k in Boardman). What a cool opportunity to make a statement of generosity to our community and beyond!

As always, we aim to be good stewards of the resources entrusted to our care. So, we carefully chose to support ministries and organizations which would not only bring immediate relief to those in need, but help them succeed in the future.

Through those ministries, you helped people in the name of Jesus to:

*Support disaster relief for Turkey after an earthquake left over 1.5 million people homeless (Tony Cooke Ministries)

*Provided food, water, shelter, and medical help in the name of Jesus to those devastated by the recent disasters in Israel (Samaritan's Purse)

*Fight sex trafficking (New Life Commission)

*Recover from addiction (Hannah's House, Teen Challenge)

*Build life-skills after being incarcerated (Flying High)

*Take a stand against violence in our community (Bikers Against Violence)

*Save the lives of over 187 babies in 2023 + 2,186 over the last 12 years just from our local pregnancy center! (Bella Women's Center, Pregnancy Help Center)

*Receive prayer, food, education, housing and safety to children and their families here and all over the world (Big Brother Big Sister of Mahoning County, Brown Horse Projects, Christian Children's Home of Ohio, Compassion International, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Foundation for Suicide, H2O YSU, Hearts in Action, Heart Reach Neighborhood Ministries, Never Thirst Water, New Generations, No Kid Hungry, Warren Family Mission, Youngstown Rescue Mission)

*Provide beds for children who had none (Sleep in Heavenly Peace)

*Recover from the loss of a loved one who was martyred for sharing their faith in a heavily persecuted country (Voice of the Martyrs)

I find encouragement in this passage of scripture, knowing that as I treasure and look after God's work on the earth, He will look after the things that concern me!

Luke 12:27-34 "Consider how the wildflowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will He clothe you - you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink, do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near, and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be."

Would you join us as we ask God what He would lead us to give above our regular offerings?

May God Bless you this Holiday Season,

Pastor Joe Sr.
