Lesson 3: Pleasing Priority

February 25 & 26, 2017

GOD’S GREATEST JOY COMES WHEN PEOPLE COME TO JESUS

Luke 15:7 In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away! New Living Translation

Luke 15:1 Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach. 2 This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people - even eating with them! New Living Translation

Luke 15:So Jesus told them this story: 4 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. 6 When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ New Living Translation

“To be a soul winner is the happiest thing in the world. And with every soul you bring to Jesus Christ, you seem to get a new heaven here upon the earth.” Charles Spurgeon

God smiles and BLESSES us when His PRIORITY is our PRIORITY

Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. New International Version

“Three hundred million years from now, what will be the only thing that will matter?  Will it matter how much money you made?  Will it matter what kind of car you drove?  Will it matter who won the NCAA football and basketball titles this year?  Will it matter who you took to the homecoming dance?  Three hundred million years from now, the only thing that will matter is who is in heaven and who is in hell.  And if that is the only thing that will matter then, that should be one of our greatest concerns now.” Mark Cahill

Jesus will do the tough JOB if we do our simple JOB

John 6:44 For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up. New Living Translation
