Romans 3:20 Now do you see it? No one can ever be made right in God’s sight by doing what the law commands. For the more we know of God’s laws, the clearer it becomes that we aren’t obeying them; his laws serve only to make us see that we are sinnersLiving Bible

Hebrews 8:7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.  New International Version

Hebrews 8:13 By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappearNew International Version

The New Covenant Is A Superior Covenant

Hebrews 8:6 But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promisesNew International Version

The New Covenant Has A Superior Sacrifice

Hebrews 10:11 Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins.  New Living Translation

Hebrews10:12 But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right handNew LivingTranslation

Hebrews 9:27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, New LivingTranslation

Hebrews 9:28 so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. New Living Translation

The New Covenant Gives Us Superior Mercy

Hebrews 4:14 But Jesus the Son of God is our great High Priest who has gone to heaven itself to help us; therefore let us never stop trusting him. Living Bible

Hebrews 4:15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses since he had the same temptations we do, though he never once gave way to them and sinned. Living Bible

Hebrews 4:16 So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive his mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of needLiving Bible

The New Covenant Blessings Come By Faith Not Works

Deuteronomy 28:1 “If you fully obey the Lord yourGod and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. 2 You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God: New Living Translation

Mark 11:24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. New Living Translation

The New Covenant Has No Curse Attached For Disobedience

Deuteronomy 28:15 “But if you refuse to listen to the Lord your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm youNew Living Translation

Galatians 3:13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” New Living Translation
