Jesus Made Us From Dirt

 

Genesis 2:7 God formed Man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life.The Man came alive—a living soul! The Message

 

Jesus Healed A Man With Dirt

 

John 9:1 Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked, “Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?” The Message  

 

John 9:3 Jesus said, “You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. The Message 

 

John 9:4 Look instead for what God can do. We need to be energetically at work for the One who sent me here, working while the sun shines. When night falls, the workday is over. The Message

 

John 9:6 He said this and then spit in the dust, made a clay paste with the saliva, rubbed the paste on the blind man’s eyes, and said, 

 

John 9:7 “Go, wash at the Pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “Sent”). The man went and washed – and saw. The Message

 

Jesus Made A Point In The Dirt

 

A Religious attitude says: "I messed up…Dad is gonna kill me.”

A Relational attitude says: "I messed up…Better call Dad!"

 

John 8:1 Jesus went across to Mount Olives, 2 but he was soon back in the Temple again. Swarms of people came to him. He sat down and taught them. The Message

 

John 8:3 The religion scholars and Pharisees led in a woman who had been caught in an act of adultery. They stood her in plain sight of everyone and said, The Message

 

John 8:4 “Teacher, this woman was caught red-handed in the act of adultery. Moses, in the Law, gives orders to stone such persons. What do you say?” The Message

 

John 8:6 They were trying to trap him into saying something incriminating so they could bring charges against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger in the dirt. The Message

 

John 8:7 They kept at him, badgering him. He straightened up and said, “The sinless one among you, go first: Throw the stone.” 8 Bending down again, he wrote some more in the dirt. The Message
