When we put God first, everything else falls into place. So we're taking 21 days in January to make God the first priority through Biblical fasting.
What is fasting? Fasting is withholding something that we enjoy (like food, media, or sweets) and replacing it with more time spent with God!
Dates of the Fast: January 9-29
How should my fast look? Our goal isn't for this to be a religious obligation. Instead, we invite you to ask God what He would challenge you to give up for these 21 days! These are just a few options, and the important thing is that you take a step and put God FIRST regardless of how it looks!
Daniel Fast - This is based on the Biblical character who ate no sweets, meats or treats.
Media Fast - There's nothing inherently wrong with the movies, shows, and apps that entertain us, but there is something so refreshing about turning down the noise around us and tuning into God's voice.
True Biblical Fast - Many opt to go without food during their fast. Some choose to do a true fast on the days of prayer each Wednesday. Others fast for the specific amount of days that God leads them to.
Nights of Prayer: Fasting and prayer go hand in hand! That's why we're taking the 3 Wednesdays during the 21-day fast (January 9, 16, and 23 @ 7pm) to gather at our campuses for a powerful time of worship and prayer. (Childcare will be provided for all ages).
