1 Corinthians 12:1 Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. New International Version
God Gave NINE Gifts to Provide DIVINE Freedom
1 Corinthians 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. New International Version
1 Corinthians 12:8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, New International Version
1 Corinthians 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, New International Version
1 Corinthians 12:10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. New International Version
1 Corinthians 12:11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. New International Version
Speaking Gifts (They say something)
Prophecy, Speaking in Other Tongues, & Interpretation of Tongues
Power Gifts (They do something)
Gift of Faith, Gifts of Healing, & Working Miracles
Revelation Gifts (They reveal something)
Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, & Discerning of Spirits
Gift of Faith – A God given infusion that enables you to believe for something beyond your personal faith level.
Gifts of Healing – The healing power of God instantly healing sickness, or disease, through a Christian vessel.
Miracles – An intervention by God in the everyday ordinary course of nature.
Acts 5:15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. New International Version
Acts 5:16 Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed. New International Version
Gold dust appearing on a body or falling on the audience, feathers appearing, glory clouds appearing, bleeding hands, statues that bleed or produce tears, a Bible that has oil coming out of it.
Word of Wisdom - A Supernatural revelation or knowing of a future event, purpose, or plan or wisdom to help someone in their current situation.
Acts 11:27 It was about this same time that some prophets came to Antioch from Jerusalem. The Message
Acts 11:28 One of them named Agabus stood up one day and, prompted by the Spirit, warned that a severe famine was about to devastate the country. (The famine eventually came during the rule of Claudius.) The Message
Acts 11:29 So the disciples decided that each of them would send whatever they could to their fellow Christians in Judea to help out. The Message
Word of Knowledge - A Supernatural revelation or knowing of past or present events.
Discerning of Spirits – The ability to know, see or hear the spirit world. This can include seeing Jesus, angels, demons, and human spirits.
Prophecy – Speaking forth by the Holy Spirit in your language. It denotes a flowing forth or bubbling forth like a fountain.
1 Corinthians 14:3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. New International Version
Tongues – Speaking forth by the Holy Spirit in another language unknown to the speaker.
Interpretation of Tongues – The ability to interpret or know what was spoken out in an unknown tongue.
1 Corinthians 14:5 I would like everyone of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified. New International Version
