The most important test, is the test that comes with your test

 

Some tests can be overcome by opposing them

 

            1. Physical Problems

            2. Financial Problems

 

Some tests can’t be overcome by opposing them

 

            1. Relationship Breakup

            2. Death of a loved one

 

James 1:12 Happy are those who remain faithful under trials, because when they succeed in passing such a test, they will receive as their reward the life which God has promised to those who love him. Good News Translation

 

James 1:13 If we are tempted by such trials, we must not say, “This temptation comes from God.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. Good News Translation

 

James 1:16 Do not be deceived, my dear friends! 17 Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness by turning. Good News Translation

 

James 1:18 By his own will he brought us into being through the word of truth, so that we should have first place among all his creatures. Good News Translation

1. Self-medicating

2. Self-pity   

3. Questioning

 

Tempting the Lord

 

Exodus 17:7 The place was named Massah [testing] and Meribah, [Complaining] because the Israelites complained and put the Lord to the test when they asked, “Is the Lord with us or not?” Good News Translation 

 

James 4:7 So then, submit yourselves to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you. Good News Translation

 

1 Corinthians 10:13 Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.
