Science Explains Everything So We Don’t Need God
“The idea that science and religion are in perpetual conflict is no longer taken seriously by any major historian of science.” – Alister McGrath, Andreas Idreos, Professors of Science and Religion at the University of Oxford
Matthew 22:37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ New Living Translation
“Atomic physicists are much more likely to believe in God than sociologists.” – Lesslie Newbigin
“It’s my science that drove me to the conclusion that the world is much more complicated than can be explained by science.” – Allan Rex Sandage, American Astronomer
Science Doesn't Eradicate God, It Explains Him.
Psalm 19:1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. 2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. 3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. 4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. New Living Translation
Psalm 8:3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? New Living Translation
“God is, or He is not. Do not, then, reprove for error those who have made a choice; for you know nothing about it. No, but I blame them for having made, not this choice, but a choice; for again both he who chooses heads and he who chooses tails are equally at fault, they are both in the wrong. The true course is not to wager at all. Yes; but you must wager. It is not optional. You are embarked. Which will you choose then? Let us see. Since you must choose, let us see which interests you least. You have two things to lose, the true and the good; and two things to stake, your reason and your will, your knowledge and your happiness; and your nature has two things to shun, error and misery. Your reason is no more shocked in choosing one rather than the other, since you must of necessity choose. This is one point settled. But your happiness? Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that God is. Let us estimate these two chances. If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation that He is. Let’s come back to this key point: Yes; but you must wager. It is not optional. You are embarked. Which will you choose then? You are embarked. Someone once asked the twentieth-century atheist philosopher Bertrand Russell what he would say if he found himself standing before God on judgment day and God asked him, “Why didn’t you believe in me?” Russell replied, “I would say, ‘Not enough evidence, God! Not enough evidence!”– Blaise Pascal(1623-1662) French Philosopher, Physicist, Mathematician
Romans 1:19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. New Living Translation
